Here at Glass West, we firmly believe that supporting students is the key to a brighter future for all of us. Unfortunately, the cost of college tuition is high, and many qualified young people simply cannot afford it. That’s why we’re once again offering our annual River City School District scholarship for 2019!

Our goal is to do our part to help hardworking students achieve their dreams. Scholarships for college can make all the difference in the lives of these amazing kids, and we couldn’t be happier to provide this opportunity each year.
About the Glass West Scholarship
Our annual scholarship program has been a company tradition since we first implemented it back in 1996. We award a $500 scholarship to four graduating high school seniors each year. These students display a genuine desire to succeed but may be facing hardships that prevent them from attending college.
Of our four Sacramento scholarships, two will be awarded for academic achievement, and two will be given for outstanding athletic performance. The funds can be used to pay for tuition, books, and other education-related expenses.
Scholarship Eligibility
This program helps students who may not otherwise have the opportunity to attend college, although there are some eligibility requirements. All candidates must be new River City School District graduates who plan on attending their college of choice the following year.
And while grades are certainly important, our scholarship requires a minimum 2.5 GPA for eligibility. We want to help those who have the desire and drive for success! In the interest of supporting those most in need though, the funds will only be awarded to student’s who’ve received no other scholarships.
Selecting This Year’s Recipients
This year’s River City School District scholarship recipients will be chosen by Glass West once all applicants have been reviewed. We look forward to meeting this year’s outstanding students!
Once selected, recipients need only present their proof of college enrollment to our owner, Mr. David Blake, to receive their funds. One half of the scholarship will be allotted per semester, ensuring that these students will have financial assistance throughout the year.
